A vintage original black & white photo from the Walt Disney Studio... Photographed in the studio's private "Penthouse Club" on the top floor of the historic Animation Building. Features Walt Disney with several key advertising executives as they consider sponsorship of television's legendary "Mickey Mouse Club". Included are (typed list taped to reverse side of photo). Lester Will, General Manager of the American Dairy Association (ADA); also a sponsor in Tomorrowland at Disneyland. Crites; Advertising manager for General Mills cereals. Richard Van Nostrand; advertising manager for Ipana toothpaste (Bristol Myers). Rex Budd; director of advertising for Campbell's Soups. Here, the group is standing in front of a storyboard used to display concepts for Disney's newest television production, "The Mickey Mouse Club". Walt is pictured in coat and tie; with a locomotive tie bar proudly displayed to complete his attire for the meeting.

Perhaps most notably, the photograph clearly shows that Walt Disney is actually standing on tip-toe in the photo. Are various illustrations depicting the segments to be featured on the program... With Mickey Mouse himself taking the lead. Also pictured behind the storyboard are a wide assortment of newspaper clippings about the upcoming television show.

8" x 10"; excellent condition with pencil note on reverse of photo; marked with Disney photo library number 455-352. This meeting provided an opportunity for several of the new program's sponsors to visit the Walt Disney Studio in Burbank, California... And to have a personal meeting with the one & only Walt Disney... Just before the grand opening of Disneyland... And of the premiere for The Mickey Mouse Club.
