This is a vintage printing plate of Donald Duck and his nephews from Mickey Mouse issue 48 pgs 16 & 17. I have paired the original printing plates with the matching comic pages actually printed from this very plates 50+ years ago to make one of the most unique collectibles that you will ever find! A real collection centerpiece for any Disney or Donald Duck fan or collector. Unlike many annimation cells that you find produced in quantity in the 1990's, this is a vintage one-of-a-kind piece of American comic history.
Only one printing plate was made for each comic page and normally these were melted down after the comic was printed. The press plate has the issue and page number engraved along the border. This is one of only very few to have survived the melting pot. This printing process is no longer used today so no more will ever be made. If you are looking for that unique addition to your Donald Duck or Walt Disney collection, you have just found it.
You will have a true one-of-a-kind collectible. I have a small selection of Warners Brothers (Bugs, Tweety, Porky, Daffey), Walter Lantz (Woody), and Walt Disney (Mickey Mouse & Donald) available. The item "Walt Disney's Donald Duck Vintage 1956 Two Page Printing Plate & Pages" is in sale since Saturday, April 19, 2014.
